Not to be confused with the coffees of today which are over roasted and, in many instances, burned beyond recognition, Gala has the typical taste of European coffee houses and cafe's from the days of afternoon pauses which included coffee and a delightful cake or torte. It is the taste I have spent my life looking for here in the USA but have rarely found. Gala Nr. 1 has the rich taste of the European flavor roast locked inside. The only thing I would wish for is to have it available in whole bean for those of us who are very serious about our coffee tastes.
This coffee is the best bargain.Very good flavor and mild.will not be dissapointed.
Types of Coffee
-
Light Roast
See moreRoasted for the shortest amount of time, light roast beans retain a higher acidity, resulting in a bright, nuanced flavor with hints of fruit and floral notes. The body is lighter, with a subtle sweetness. Light roasts are preferred by those who appreciate the natural characteristics of the bean origin.
-
Medium Roast
See moreThis is the most popular roast level, striking a balance between acidity and bitterness. The beans develop a richer, fuller body with a smoother taste. Notes of caramel, chocolate, and nuttiness often emerge. Medium roast coffees are versatile and work well for a variety of brewing methods.
-
Dark Roast
See moreRoasted for the longest duration, dark roast beans are characterized by a bold, intense flavor with a lower acidity. The caramelization process creates a smoky, bittersweet taste with notes of dark chocolate and char. They have a heavier body and are often preferred by those who enjoy a stronger brew.
